What are IO-link components?

IO-link components (IO-Link components) are actuator sensors that communicate via IO-Link. They stand out for their ability to digitally transmit data and provide detailed information about the operational status of devices, including direct parameter settings through the system, which transforms factory systems into Smart Factories in the era of Industry 4.0!

Key Components of IO-Link

• IO-Link Master is a device that connects and manages communication between IO-Link Devices and the main control system such as PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) or DCS (Distributed Control System) via Fieldbus or Industrial Ethernet networks. It collects data from connected devices and sends it to the control system for processing.
• IO-Link Devices are components that connect with IO-Link Master, capable of digitally communicating data, providing operational status information, diagnosing issues, and real-time parameter data.
• IO-Link Hub is used to connect multiple sensors or actuators that do not directly support IO-Link to the IO-Link Master system, allowing existing devices in the system to be utilized without switching to IO-Link Devices.
• IO-Link Cables are standard cables used for connections and come in M12, M8, or M5 types, making installation easy and cost-effective.
• IO-Link Software Tools are software solutions for parameter settings, diagnostics, and data monitoring, facilitating convenient device management through automated systems.
