Signal converters

What are Signal Converters?

Signal converters transform signals from sensors to the Input/Output of Mobile controllers or I/O modules. They are widely used in industrial systems and automatic control to ensure that signals can be transmitted and received between devices accurately and efficiently.

Types of Signal Converters

  • Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADC) convert analog signals, suitable for receiving data from sensors that send analog signals.
  • Digital-to-Analog Converters (DAC) convert digital signals back to analog signals, enabling control over devices requiring analog signals. This allows digital control systems to command analog devices.
  • Current-to-Voltage Converters (I/V Converters) convert current signals into voltage signals, often used for long-distance data transmission as current signals are more resistant to interference.
  • Voltage-to-Current Converters (V/I Converters) convert voltage signals into current signals, allowing for long-distance signal transmission with high resistance to interference.
  • Protocol Converters convert signals using different communication protocols, suitable for connecting devices with varying communication standards in control systems.
  • Frequency Converters convert frequency signals and are used in tasks related to measuring or controlling frequencies.
