What is AS-i Expansion?

SCMA has been officially appointed as the sole authorized distributor of ifm in Thailand. 

AS-i expansion is an extension to the AS-i system that can extend signal reach up to 1,000 meters to increase the number of devices such as sensors, actuators, or modules in an AS-i automated system. This expansion allows for a greater number of devices without major changes to the existing structure or main system.

Features of AS-i Expansion:

• Connect additional devices without adding more wiring or connection ports
• Increase the number of network connections or enhance network functionality from expansion modules (Expansion Modules)
• Add nodes or devices connected to AS-i Controllers for additional control and communication with more equipment
• AS-i network expansion efficiently increases the distance between device connections
• Connect to other networks or control systems through gateways (gateways) for integration into larger automated systems
