What is a safety controller?

A safety controller is an automatic control device (PLC) used to manage machinery that requires high safety standards, meeting Category 3 (EN 954-1) standards.

Applications of Safety Controller

• In factory automation systems, such as controlling machines with obstruction sensors to stop the machine when a person enters a dangerous area.
• For machinery requiring strict protection, such as equipment with moving parts or high pressure that may cause danger if not stopped during abnormal conditions.
• Safety controllers are used to control the opening and closing of safety-equipped doors, like automatic doors with Safety light curtains to stop operation when a person or object is in the area.
