IO-link components

What are IO-Link components?

IO-Link components (IO-Link devices) are actuator sensors that communicate via the IO-Link protocol. They stand out for their ability to digitally transmit data and provide detailed information about device status, as well as directly configure parameters through the system, transforming factory systems into Smart Factories in the era of Industry 4.0!

Main Components of IO-Link Devices

  • IO-Link Master: A device that connects and manages communication between IO-Link devices and the main control system such as PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) or DCS (Distributed Control System) via Fieldbus or Industrial Ethernet networks. It collects data from connected devices and sends it to the control system for processing.
  • IO-Link Devices: These are devices that connect to the IO-Link Master, capable of digitally communicating information, providing real-time status updates, diagnosing issues, and transmitting operational parameters.
  • IO-Link Hub: Used to connect multiple sensors or actuators that do not directly support IO-Link to the IO-Link Master system, allowing existing devices in the system to be used without switching to IO-Link Devices.
  • IO-Link Cables: Standard cables used for connections, typically M12, M8, or M5 types, making installation easy and cost-effective.
  • IO-Link Software Tools: Software for parameter configuration, problem diagnosis, and data verification, facilitating convenient device management through automated systems.
