Fiber optic sensors are what?

Fiber optic sensors are fiber-optic light switches that can detect small objects or narrow spaces with high accuracy due to the thinness of optical fibers. They can be divided into two types:

1. Intrinsic Fiber Optic Sensors use the fiber optic itself as a measuring tool, where changes occur within the fiber.
2. Extrinsic Fiber Optic Sensors use optical fibers to transmit light but measure outside of the fiber.
