Working Principle

This type of solid state relay operates based on the principle of Phase Angle Control which means controlling the duration of AC sine wave opening in each cycle of electricity: Analog Input (4-20mA or 0-10VDC) is converted into a control signal within SSR. The internal system delays (Delay) the opening of the AC signal in each half-cycle (Half Cycle) of power. The more input, the relay opens earlier in the sine wave, resulting in more energy being sent to the load. As a result, the load (such as heater) receives more or less energy according to the input.
