SG3-DA050-A2 Three phases Input 12-32VDC Output 48-480VAC Current 50A Solid State Relay (SSR) is a three-phase SSR that uses DC input and AC output. In this case, the Solid State Relay (SSR) operates with an input of DC voltage (such as 3V, 5V, 12V or 24V DC) and an output of AC voltage (such as 220V AC or 380V AC) for controlling AC-powered loads.

How it Works

  • Input (DC Control Signal): The DC Input triggers the SSR through a circuit that uses an Opto-isolator or LED to send signals to the control circuit of the SSR. When appropriate DC signal reaches the input, the SSR opens the Opto-isolator circuit which separates the control circuit voltage from the load (AC) circuit voltage. The input may have DC voltages in ranges such as 3V, 5V, 12V or 24V depending on the SSR model.
  • Output (AC Load Control): When the SSR receives signals from the Input, it controls the AC-powered load circuits such as three-phase motors, heaters, or industrial electricity. In this operation, the SSR has a circuit that operates in either Random Turn-on or Zero Crossing mode depending on the design of the SSR. For DC input models, immediate circuit opening (Random Turn-on) may be observed.
