How It Works

Solid State Relay (SSR) works by using internal electronic circuits such as Opto-isolator (or Photo-coupler) to isolate between the control circuit (Input) and power circuit (Output). The basic working principle is as follows:

• When DC voltage comes into the Input pin (5-32VDC): Electricity triggers an LED inside the optocoupler. The LED emits light onto a phototransistor within, which changes state and sends signals to control the power circuit.
