Working Principle

Phase Control SSR works by delaying the timing of Triac opening within each half cycle of AC electricity: AC electricity has a sine wave (50/60Hz) characteristic. The SSR input is connected to Potentiometer which sets the "phase angle" at which current starts flowing. The longer the delay (opening later after zero crossing), less power is output → lower heat/speed. If delayed shorter (opened earlier) → more power output → higher heat/speed, similar to dimming an incandescent light bulb or controlling heater temperature.
