The Diaphragm Solenoid Valve (Solenoid Valve Diaphragm Type) is a valve that controls the flow of liquids or gases using a diaphragm and solenoid to open and close the valve. How Solenoid Valve Diaphragm Type Works

Main Components

• Solenoid Coil (Electromagnetic Wire Winding): Creates a magnetic field when electric current flows through it.
• Plunger (Movable Iron Rod): Moves up and down with the magnetic field.
• Diaphragm (Flexible Rubber/Silicone Sheet): Opens and closes the liquid flow path.
• Pilot Port (Pressure Control Port): A small port that helps control pressure on both sides of the diaphragm.

Operating Mode

Normal Closed (NC) – Normally Closed

• No power → Plunger closes pilot port → Pressure on both sides of diaphragm is equal → Diaphragm closes valve
• Power applied → Plunger is drawn up → Pilot port opens → Pressure above diaphragm decreases → Fluid from below pushes diaphragm up → Valve opens

Normal Open (NO) – Normally Open

• Similar principle but reversed pressure side → No power valve is open, with power valve closes
